Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in coaching or leading adults
  • Minimum of 3 years of campus administration experience
  • Bilingualism (Spanish/English) preferred

           

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

School Leadership & Operations Team Management

  • Works closely with the Principal and district administrators to develop and implement a campus wide vision that supports and promotes the academic and cultural vision of RMA
  • Works closely with the principal to manage the budget throughout the school year
  • Supports front office and administrative team where needed and holds them accountable to goals and outcomes
  • Assist Principal with implementing systems, policies, and procedures within the school

 

Student Data & Compliance

  • Supports SCL with student recruitment strategies and activities to ensure school is fully enrolled by the first day of school (i.e., engages the principal and/or staff in student recruitment efforts as appropriate)
  • Support the implementation of the campus and master schedule (exact details may vary by grade level and campus)
  • Ensures the school and staff are adhering to all attendance requirements as identified by district policy, TEA, and any applicable state or federal laws
  • Assist in the fulfillment of student behavioral contracts as needed.

 

Student & Family Services (School Ops; Communications; Events)

  • May work with the SCL and Counselor, as needed, to raise awareness about the school
  • Assist with grants that will support existing school programs or that will fund new programs
  • Assist the leadership team with any additional fundraising programs or campaigns.

 

School Operations

  • Works closely with the SCL and Registrar to ensure compliance with guidelines and program at their school.
  • Support the Principal to ensure the campus maintains compliance with all district policies, TEA regulations, and any state or federal laws.
  • Under the direction of the Principal, ensure the school is prepared for emergencies by conducting all drills as well as training staff on emergency plans
  • Serve as the campus liaison for submitting tickets, requests, or purchase orders to order/repair furniture, equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Attends the Leadership Meeting to ensure planning and communication of major events, procedures, changes and/or updates occur.

 

Technology & Equipment

  • Ensures that all students and staff have access to needed technology and works with the Technology Team to plan future technology needs and improvements
  • Works with leadership team to maintain the school’s supply and asset inventory (e.g. computers, textbooks)

 

Academic Operations Support

  • Support the Principal in the onboarding of substitutes including participating in substitute orientations, providing new subs orientation, and managing the process by which teachers seek coverage for absences
  • Works with the principal to manage the logistical elements of all major student assessments (i.e., Interim Assessments, STAAR, TELPAS)
