| Welcome to Coventry Public Schools. The Town of Coventry is located in the western section of Rhode Island bordering Connecticut, and has a population of 35,000 plus residents. Our student population is approximately 5,000 and is supported by a professional staff of 454 and a paraprofessional staff of 250. We have five elementary schools serving Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5, one middle school serving Grades 6 through 8, and one high school serving Grades 9 through 12. The mission of Coventry Public Schools is to prepare all students to lead productive lives in a global society by providing a high quality, standards-based education for all students in an environment based upon respect, trust, and ethical and responsible behavior. Our vision is to provide an environment where students are meeting and exceeding standards in an atmosphere that fosters and values individual talents. Our academic support services are extensive in their abilities to provide time necessary for students, teachers, and social service agencies to assist in the complete development of students.
