| Raymond C. LaPerche is a kindergarten through grade five elementary school in Smithfield, Rhode Island. In addition to the general education program, LaPerche also includes an intensive special education and intensive resource elementary level programs for the district. LaPerche faculty and staff strive to create an environment where every member of the school community is fully accepted and included as he or she reaches full potential both academically and socially. Our faculty work with our families to build strong relationships that support and enrich the lives of our students. Our school motto of Respectful, Caring, Leaders...Succeed aligns with the school focus of leadership. Student leadership is paramount at LaPerche and is on display in every area of the school. From the 5th grade safety patrol to the 4th grade recycling teams to the student-run unified field, LaPerche students support, inspire, and challenge each other and themselves as they work towards our district promise: Our Promise: Every student will be prepared for continued learning, career, and life. LaPerche faculty and staff believe in the importance of a growth mindset and continue to create and implement dynamic lessons based on current research and best practices. We work daily to instill that mindset in our students. |
