Welcome to South Hadley Girls Treatment!
The South Hadley Treatment Program is a staff-secure program for adolescent young women. The average stay is three to five months. During this time, we assess the girls’ risk areas, needs, and circumstances which may have contributed to their offending behaviors. We also work with our residents to build individualized sets of coping skills and self-protective strategies to promote good decision-making in efforts to prevent recidivism and their return to DYS custody. The program includes educational, clinical, and family therapy aspects as well as our agency-wide adventure education services. The program has recently added a transitional independent living program (TILP) to its services. Girls, ages 16-21, ready to transition into the community will have access to school and jobs in the community.
