| Browns River Middle School is located in the heart of the Green Mountains. This is an area of remarkable natural beauty and exceptional cultural, educational and recreational opportunities. Community members are particularly supportive of education and the supervisory union enjoys a high level of community involvement. The character of the District is diverse. Economic diversity is established through the variety of employment opportunities ranging from agriculture and service industries to light manufacturing. The region is also served by a number of exceptional institutions of higher education, including the University of Vermont, St. Michael’s College and Champlain College. The Green Mountains, including the highest peak in Vermont, provide beautiful vistas and many all-season outdoor activity opportunities all within the CESU boundaries. In addition to the quiet qualities of our rural landscapes, the area is relatively close to metropolitan areas such as Boston (200 miles) and Montreal (90 miles). |
