Statement:

Tiverton is located in the southeastern part of Rhode island. It is approximately 25 miles from Providence and 50 miles from Boston. It extends 12 miles from the Fall River, Massachusetts line on the north to Little Compton, RI, on the south and five miles from Sakonnet River on the west to the Westport, MA line on the east.
It encompasses in an area of approximately 30 square miles.

It is a suburban community of approximately 16,000 people. The majority of adults are employed in the cities of Newport, Fall River and Providence. These major cities are within short commuting distances and provide many cultural opportunities for the townspeople.

The public school enrollment consists of 2,116 pupils housed in three elementary school, one middle school, and one high school.
