    Vision Statement
    All students at the Newark Global Village School Zone – Sussex Avenue School of Arts and Science will be provided the opportunity to excel. We will function as one PreK 3 to grade 12 school zone with one vision and one mission. All students will reach their highest level of potential through increased motivation of teachers and students, increased parental involvement, community stakeholders and consistent training for all staff and parents. As a result, all students will meet or exceed the standard set for proficiency by the Newark Public Schools and will be able to compete in the global society as contributing member of their community.
    Mission Statement
    We intend to prepare students to internalize and apply a body of knowledge which will lead them to become highly motivated, economically independent, contributing members of their community in an increasingly global society. We are committed to the creation of a peaceful and harmonious environment which will empower all students to reach their greatest potential through collaborative commitment by the Sussex Avenue School of Arts and Science Family (staff, students, families and partnerships). We will continue to develop strategies for parental involvement which will have a direct impact upon student achievement.
