| The Frost Elementary is an inclusive and diverse elementary school in south Lawrence serving nearly 600 students in Kindergarten through Grade 4. In addition to comprehensive literacy, math and science instruction, we offer enrichment opportunities for all students during the day including visual arts, PE and library. We are building a strong school culture that focuses on our core values -- We work hard, we work together and we are kind. We are seeking candidates with a passion for education, a commitment to the academic and personal success of Lawrence Public Schools students and families, experience working with students, an ability to take initiative and succeed in a fast-paced classroom/school environment while remaining calm and focused when faced with unexpected challenges; and the demonstrated ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse staff and population. The Lawrence Public Schools will ensure that ALL students will successfully master the content and skills necessary to graduate from high school, college and/or career ready, by providing a standards-based, rigorous instructional program focused on academic achievement and the development of 21st century skills accompanied by a comprehensive system of supports, all of which are monitored and assessed regularly to ensure accountability to all stakeholders. |
