Welcome to Enfield Village School!
EVS was constructed in 1883, but has since been renovated! Enfield Village School serves approximately 202 students Pre K-4.
Students engage in quality learning experiences through programs such as Everyday Math 4, Reading Wonders, and Thinking Maps. In response to student needs, EVS recently implemented a NECC program that serves students with autism. There is also a Title I Math program that provides assistance for students with math challenges, and a Three-Tier Reading program that provides support for our struggling readers. Classroom Chromebook labs and a tech integrator, provide all EVS students with opportunities to engage with technology in a variety of meaningful ways. Several dedicated volunteers coordinate and facilitate our "Four Winds" environmental education program which offers each classroom a monthly lesson in the natural sciences.
Enfield Village School is proud to host a wonderful after-school program that provides homework help, healthy snacks, physical activity, and quiet games to children of working parents.
An active PTA helps plan "before and after" school activities for students. The PTA pays instructors to provide nine week sessions. These have included: cooking, walking club, board games, chess, drama, crafts, photography, math explorations, Lego constructions, etc.
PTA and Title I have combined forces to sponsor several family nights. These have included movies, family yoga, math games, pizza party with a sing-along, a Book Fair, and Touch a Truck night with local First Responders.
Extracurricular activities at EVS include the school's band, math club, and soccer, basketball and baseball programs offered at EVS through the local Youth Sports League.
Community Partners provide many opportunities for EVS students. We are grateful to Friends of Mascoma, Byrne Foundation, Mascoma Savings Bank and the Wellborne Foundation for providing grants, professional development and expert advice in developing place-based science opportunities, quality guest speakers, and art experiences for our students.
