Welcome to Greenmont Elementary School!
Welcome to the Greenmont Avenue Elementary School web site! We are excited that you have taken this opportunity to explore and discover what makes the Greenmont Avenue Elementary School a very special and unique professional learning community of life long learning. As a relatively small and yet historic school building built in the 1930's as the original high school, we now serve a yearly average of 300 students in grades K-5 and are a true community school. We value the connections and relationships we develop with all our students, their families and the larger Dracut community. Through the establishment of our Community of Caring program, our students feel supported and safe to learn in a setting where their individual differences are valued and they feel secure in taking risks and trying new things. The five core values of the Community of Caring program are caring, respect, responsibility, family and trust. These are embedded into our everyday thinking, decision making and daily class meeting discussions and form the foundation for optimal learning, both academically and social/emotionally, to take place. This whole child philosophy embodies our school mission and vision and is the basis from which all decisions are made.

We value your input and the critical role and partnership that our families play in the success of their child(ren) and the larger success of the school as a learning community. If you have any questions regarding the school, please feel free to call our Secretary Mrs. Pareja at (978) 453-1797 or ypareja@dracutps.org. I can be reached at mveilleux@dracutps.org. Please don't hesitate to call us or visit the school and discover what makes us special! You can also visit our website at https://www.dracutps.org/o/ges.

Sincerely,

Marybeth Veilleux
