TITLE: Instructional Technology Cadre High School
JOB SUMMARY: Instructional Technology Cadres will provide leadership for the high school website and professional development opportunities related largely to the infusion of educational technology within the scope of implementing Common Core standards, Illinois Learning Standards, Illinois Early Learning Standards and PARCC assessments at the elementary and early childhood levels. They are responsible for collaborating with the Director of Instructional Technology, Central Office staff members, building administrators, classroom teachers and other Instructional Technology Cadres across the district. This position was formerly known as Elementary Tech Cadre.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to incorporate technology into everyday lesson planning and instruction.
- Facilitate technology for student use in order to enhance learning and communication skills
Communication
- Attend District Tech Cadre meetings and report appropriate information to building administration and staff and communicate any changes, resources and updates
- Promote PD Staff Trainings to building staff as they are created on Google Doc Calendar
- Proponent and supporter of Self Paced Learning Tutorials
- Monitor and maintain a log of activities related to this role via Google Docs
Professional Development
- Facilitating a minimum of 4 technology related Professional Development staff trainings related to instructional technology (e.g. Drop Box, Google Apps for Education, Interactive Whiteboards)
- Develop and share PD topics for current and emerging software and hardware, apps and technology interests
- Model and support technology in everyday teaching, instruction and assessment development
- Skyward Software assistance/training to staff for Student and Employee & Family Access (new employees)
- Coordinate with Building Principal to train, set-up and assist with online assessments (i.e. PARCC, DEA, AimsWeb, BAS)
- Upload and promote PD Staff Trainings to Tech Cadre Google Doc Calendar
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a stipend position. A stipend will be pro-rated quarterly upon the successful completion of all duties and responsibilities association with this position.
START DATE: ASAP
