Cafeteria Aide - 40 hours per week/10 months - 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM
Cafeteria Aide Responsibilities
? Responsible for set up and take down of cafeteria seating tables, chairs, and waste stations.
? Replace trash can liners after each use, end of day all trash cans are emptied, washed out, and
new liner is placed. Breakdown boxes and take to outdoor designated trash containers.
? Maintain clean floors by sweeping after each classroom leaves the cafeteria.
? Ensure all tables are washed/sanitized before the next classroom is seated to consume meals.
? Coordinate scholar volunteers that help clean up in the cafeteria.
? Ensure janitorial inventory in the kitchen is always fully stocked.
? Assist in executing meals in the classrooms; set up and clean up (Preschool only)
? Clean gym entry doors on the inside and outside.
? Check restrooms after breakfast service, restock if needed, and clean up any messes.
? Wash, rinse, sanitize, and dry all dishes used daily.
? Sweep and mop the kitchen at the end of each day.
? Assist other CNP staff members during down time and meal service.
? Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements/Regulations
? Must be able to lift 25 lbs or 50 lb with assistance
? Must complete 6 hours of USDA Professional Standard training, annually.
? Expected to be able to work in a fast paced environment.
? Work flexible hours (early mornings, longer/shorter shifts, nights)
? No jewelry besides a wedding band or necklace that can be tucked into shirt
? Nails must be kept short and unpolished
Professionalism & Communication
? Demonstrate professionalism by being in regular attendance and arriving on time to work, staff
meetings, parent nights and other assigned duties.
? Complete required training(s) on time.
? Work cooperatively to create an atmosphere of unity among the school community and refrain
and stop any gossip, negativity, and unsupportive comments.
? Demonstrate professionalism at ALL times. Exercise wisdom by remaining calm, respectful, and
non-defensive during parent meetings, disagreements, and personal attacks.
? Utilize professional communication with strong grammar, syntax, usage and/or spelling skills
during phone conversations, personal conversations, emails, and social media such as Facebook,
Instagram, Twitter, etc.
? Exhibit professionalism in appearance and follow the Beta Academy standard of dress. Apply this
standard of dress to personal social media posts in regards to modesty in dress and action (ex:
swimsuit, cleavage, & shirtless pictures, in addition to posts with alcohol, cigarettes, and bars
etc.).
? Check staff email a minimum of twice daily and all staff texts.
? Follow through on assignments and show independence by completing tasks from beginning to
end.
