Cafeteria Cashier

Cafeteria Cashier Responsibilities
Maintain child nutrition program compliance and program integrity.
Assist in executing any and all meal programs (breakfast/lunch in the classroom, field trip meals, traditional breakfast/lunch, etc.)
Operate POS; ensure reimbursable meals are served, monitor meal account balances, and maintain confidentiality of scholars eligibility status.
Manage cash register, count money and ensure security of funds.
Assist with the set up and take down of cafeteria seating tables, chairs, and waste stations.
Maintain clean floors by sweeping after each classroom leaves the cafeteria.
Ensure all tables are washed/sanitized before the next classroom is seated to consume meals.
Expected to be able to work in a fast paced environment all while providing excellent customer service, program compliance, and resolving conflicts under pressure.
Assist kitchen lead and/or supervisor during down time.
Performs other related duties as required.

Certification and/or License Requirements
Must hold a Food Handlers License or obtain within 60 days of employment.

Education Requirement
High School Diploma or equivalent; or one year relevant work experience

Demonstrate professionalism by being in regular attendance and arriving on time to work, staff meetings, parent nights and other assigned duties.
Recognizes problems, impediments and reports them promptly with options for solutions to the campus principal; promotes and assists with constructive resolutions.
Complete required training(s) on time.
Work cooperatively to create an atmosphere of unity among the school community and refrain and stop any gossip, negativity, and unsupportive comments.
Demonstrate professionalism at ALL times. Exercise wisdom by remaining calm, respectful, and non-defensive during parent meetings, disagreements, and personal attacks.
Utilize professional communication with strong grammar, syntax, usage and/or spelling skills during phone conversations, personal conversations, emails, and social media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Exhibit professionalism in appearance and follow the Beta Academy standard of dress. Apply this standard of dress to personal social media posts in regards to modesty in dress and action (ex: swimsuit, cleavage, & shirtless pictures, in addition to posts with alcohol, cigarettes, and bars etc.).
Check staff email a minimum of twice daily and all staff texts.
Follow through on assignments and show independence by completing tasks from beginning to end.
