Primary Purpose:

The Director of Facilities is responsible for carrying out the directives of the Executive Director of Operations, working in conjunction with the Director of Safety and Security as a unified team. Additional responsibilities include the safety, security and wellbeing of all students, staff and visitors at the Texans Can Campuses. The primary responsibilities of this position include the Management and Training of the Regional Facilities Supervisor and the Facilities Technicians in their performance of their primary duties; Maintaining a strong working relationship with Executive Staff, Corporate Staff, Campus Principals and their staff, Contractors and Vendors.

 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Clear and valid Texas driver’s license

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to provide Senior Facility Management functions in the discharge of their assigned duties
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to use a corporate personal computer and a Smartphone

Experience:

  • Ten (10) years' of verifiable management experience in facilities operations and supervision

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to provide all aspects of Facilities Services and Management, as required

Working knowledge/experience required in the following areas:

  • Safety
  • Scheduling and Logistics
  • Project Management and Maintenance
  • Coordination of third party partnerships and leases
  • Asset Management
  • Vehicles
  • Build and Maintain Vendor Relationships
  • Assist in Emergency Action Plan
  • Assist with Fire Safety and Scheduling of Fire Drills
  • Oversite of Multiple Projects/timelines
  • Management of PPE Inventory and Distribution
  • Management of Janitorial, Lawn care, Pest control
  •  Ensure Compliance with all State, Federal and Local Laws and Codes pertaining to the TEA  
  • Report to the Executive Director on all day to day occurrences across the district

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct Supervision of Regional Facilities Supervisor, Facilities Techs and Vendors

 

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

On Call 24/7 for Emergency Response

Occasional prolonged or irregular hours

Regular district wide travel required

Working conditions will vary depending on the weather

Having the ability to meet the physical and mental constraints of this position.
