Job Description

Signing Bonuses and Relocation Stipends Available
This position is based on campus.

The Reading Interventionist/Dyslexia Specialist:
•Teaches students identified with dyslexia using instructional strategies and an individualized, intensive, multi-sensory, phonetic approach.
•Monitors and collects data on student progress/achievement; Maintains confidential files, records, and documents
•Establishes and maintains open communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
•Attends Section 504 meetings as the dyslexia representative
•Supports and/or conducts assessments for dyslexia under Section 504

Texas Teacher Certification, Elementary Certification
Master Reading Certification and/or experience delivering Dyslexia programming preferred

Three (3) years successful teaching experience

Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of Dyslexia, the reading process, and the Section 504 process

- Ability to relate positively to students, parents, and staff

- Ability to work as part of a team
