Job Description

Plans instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards.  Supervises assigned students and maintains a positive learning environment.  Adapt instruction to meet the individual learning needs of all students resulting in an increased probability of advancing their achievement. Primary professional efforts are directed toward the development and success of their individual professional goals and specifically towards instructional improvement and the development of expertise in all areas of instruction.  Maintain positive inter-personal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

All teachers are members of PLC’s with the intention of growing professionally through teaming with colleagues and by participating in professional development activities and/or plan for their lessons, both collaboratively and independently. Teachers will support PLC’s through personal involvement, through contributing to the professional growth of others through their support of their school and District culture.

 
Additional Information

·        Bachelor's degree required.

·        Active teacher authorization or license issued by the State of Colorado.

·        Colorado law (C.R.S 22-63-201) requires that a teacher hold a valid license or authorization before they can be hired to teach in a public school.

·       Endorsement in the area(s) of teaching assignment.

·        Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Effective time management and organizational skills.
