Welcome to Rapoport Academy Public School!
Rapoport Academy Public School is an open-enrollment charter school serving students in grades Pre-K through 12 from 22 school districts in and around Waco, Texas. Waco is a mid-size city located on I-35 between Austin and Dallas and is home to Baylor University, McLennan Community College, and Texas State Technical College.

Rapoport Academy is located in historic East Waco, across the Brazos River from downtown Waco. Rapoport Academy opened its doors in 1998 with 16 students in the basement of a church in East Waco. We now serve more than 850 students in grades Pre-K through 12 on three campuses (Rapoport Elementary, Quinn Campus Middle School, and Meyer Public High School). Our middle school and high school campuses are located on historic Quinn Campus, the former home of Paul Quinn College (the oldest historically black college west of the Mississippi River), which called Waco home for over 100 years.

Rapoport Academy's mission is to prepare all students for college success by giving them the tools and support they need to reach and succeed in college. Rapoport Academy is a STEM Academy at the middle school and high school levels and an Early College High School (ECHS) program. Through the ECHS program, our students can earn up to 60 academic college credits before they graduate from high school--all at no cost to the students or their family.

Rapoport Academy maintains a student-to-teacher ratio of about 17:1 at all levels, which gives teachers the ability to know and serve their students on an individual level. Teachers have much flexibility in designing and teaching their courses, as well as much support from campus and district instructional leaders. Teachers are expected to hold students to rigorous academic standards in order to prepare them for success at the post-secondary level.
