Welcome to Mary M Lynch!
Vision Statement

The Mary Lynch community of learners will design lessons and utilize teaching strategies that focus on the total academic, emotional, and social development of K-5 students. We will provide daily opportunities for students to excel in core subject areas i.e. math, language arts, science and score proficient or above each year on MCAS. Each member of the Lynch team—staff, students, and parents will work towards attainable goals that focus on respect to individual beliefs, differences, and social economic backgrounds.

The Mary Lynch staff embraces the Cornerstone Vision for student learning as described below: Students will learn to read, to write, to think critically, to reason, to analyze and evaluate information, to communicate effectively in a variety of forms, and to inquire systematically into any important matter.

Our students will demonstrate their learning by meeting or exceeding Massachusetts State Standards, as well as a set of indicators used in an annual review of our school by the District and Cornerstone. The annual review of our school and information provided to the District by Cornerstone’s external reviewers will also measure the extent to which Mary Lynch School meets high standards for adult professional learning and leadership.

Mission Statement

The administration, staff and faculty at Mary Lynch School have created a Culture of Educational Excellence that revolves around a challenging curriculum; where students are encouraged to take risks and further their understanding with confidence. Within this safe learning environment both boys and girls of diverse cultures and social backgrounds will learn to take ownership of their responsibilities, actions and achievements. Mary Lynch Elementary School is in its third year of implementing the Cornerstone Literacy initiative. As Cornerstone has unfolded Lynch school has established a professional learning community whose main goal is to help every child meet the highest standards of literacy.

Mary M. Lynch School teachers and paraprofessionals participate in continuous professional development which is linked to the School Vision, School Improvement Plan, District Strategic priorities and Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. All staff members work together to create a learning environment which focuses on student achievement. The Mary M. Lynch staff supports close ties between home and school to promote school goals and programs.
