| Mission Mary M. Walsh School will provide high quality instruction by means of standards-based and research based instructional programs within a supportive environment. Walsh School will support instruction through rigorous professional development, robust parental involvement and strong community partnerships. Our expectation is that all students will achieve at high levels the standards set forth in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Walsh School embraces the Cornerstone literacy initiative for whole-school change with literacy as its vehicle. Our goal is that all members of the school community will become critical thinkers and life-long learners. Walsh School will practice and nurture the social qualities of civility and respect. Vision Mary M. Walsh School will prepare students for productive and responsible citizenship in the 21st century by means of a rigorous curriculum, standards-based instruction, and effective pedagogy resulting in students performing at proficient / advanced levels. |
